The Hire Guys acknowledge that our work place is only a small place of the greater community & environment.

Our ambition is to leave as small an impact or "carbon footprint" as possible with our business transactions & daily operations by changing the way we conduct our business, Influencing our suppliers for "greener" products & Changing our thought process in the way we conduct ourselves with relation to the environment.

If we are successful in educating our customers on the benfits of lessesning environmental impact through green purchasing decisions, then we will all have a much brighter future.

The changes we have initiated will make the environment better for all. Our employees and you our customer, both your family & children as will ours benefit from our actions to neutralize our impact on emissions & global warming.

We have highlighted some of the changes to our business we have implemented below;

• Achieving platinum status (100% carbon neutral status) we are the first West Australian hire company to achieve this eco rating.
• Purchasing 100% greenpower from synergy which is sourced from windfarms or solar cells.
• Purchasing "new technology" petrol engines for our powered machinery. We are phasing out "side valve" engines which are up to 20% less efficient. Side valve engines have been superseded with new technology such as "over head valve" & "over head cam" engines for 20 years yet suppliers still push the side valve motor on their products to make the initial purchase cheaper.
• Using oil separators on our washpads to ensure pollutants are not entering our waterways. All separated oily water is then disposed of through licensed & accredited waste disposal companies.
• Sourcing the newest & most efficient Electric motors on electrical equipment.
• Minimizing transport & packaging both from our suppliers & ourselves.
• No plastic bags used for sales products. We supply environmental friendly re usable enviro bags. If you haven't got one come in & get yours free  - there great for the shopping.
• Hiring reduces emissions through more eficient use of our valuable resources. It also reduces packaging waste and additional transport costs and reduces unnecessary manufacturing.
